Lunchtime just got easier for Boxwood Kitchen fans.
A shift in service and menu options offers a safer way to dine-in or enjoy lunch to-go. Boxwood Kitchen & Supperclub has prepared an array of Grab & Go options available from 11-2 pm every Tuesday through Friday. Bowls and "Sammies" run $10 or less and can be enjoyed on their outdoor patio or on the run. The Honey Sriracha Chicken bowl, loaded with brown rice, kale, squash, and pickled veggies, is topped with chicken breast tossed in a sweet and spicy Sriracha glaze. Homemade seeded bread is used for their signature Sammies, like the Boxwood Club sammie with roasted chicken breast, arugula, bacon, avocado, tomato, and chipotle aioli.
Canned beer and wine, Ablis CBD Sparkling Water, and other beverages will be available to enjoy on the premises or for carryout.
Boxwood started out as a boxed meal delivery service back in 2017, specializing in ready-to-serve meal options. "It's almost like we've come full circle, melding the two identities: grab and go boxed meals available during the day with preorder and deliveries coming soon," says Riane Welch of the now brick and mortar restaurant.
The Old Mill District eatery has also made some major shifts within their dining space, limiting table service to their outdoor patio. Beginning August 4th, Boxwood will offer an expanded patio seating area opposite the main drive in the Old Mill District shopping center. Guests can enjoy their popular menu items—like Korean Fried Chicken Bits, Beef Bourguignon, and Raclette Mac 'n' Cheese—from 5-9 pm every Tuesday through Saturday. And, for those of you who were wondering, their cocktail menu will be in full swing for dine-in patio seating.
